ABC's
Most people these days would say that they hate reading books or they would rather eat or do something else other than read. They think reading is for geeky and nerdy people and that it's extremely lame. What's so lame about reading a book if it gives an individual information or even happiness? Reading broadens ones perspective. It provides the reader an opportunity to understand something and share adventures with the characters. It saddens me to see people refuse to read since reading has been one of the most essential things a human being can posses. Today, a teacher of mine ordered a pair of students to read in front of the class. One would not expect a student to read something in an art class; after all, it is Art not English. Both students failed to read properly, simple words were hard for them to apprehend, I simply thought, "What happened?" and "Why did they turn out this way?" Yes, it's their fault why they can't read the simplest of words, however it is also their parent's and teacher's responsibility to ensure the fact that one can read properly by their junior year. It's not that I'm belittling them it's just that it is depressing that people take reading for granted. If a person wants to succeed in this lifetime, that person has to wake up and smell the coffee since it is starting to burn and if left that way the house will eventually burn down.
One may seem to go to school but learn nothing, whereas an individual can read many books and be literate. Education is not all about going to prestigious Ivy League schools; it's about learning things that will help one change his life. Most kids in my school simply go to school to socialize. They "ditch" their classes and do not do their homework. What bothers me is that they waste their time complaining about unimportant things. Why not use their time to study since their already in school. They can have all the time in the world to socialize once they're done. Yes, I know that school isn't everything, hell I even said that; but let's get the facts straight, a job or a company will acquire someone to have graduated in school, right? So they should start putting some effort in studying. They are simply hurting their chances to attain a comfortable lifestyle. In the end, education is one of the treasures one can never take away from an individual.

SOMETHING
-Music is my refuge. I could crawl into the spaces between the notes and curl my back to loneliness-
-It is cruel you know, that music should be so beautiful. It has the beauty of loneliness and of pain, of strength and freedom. The beauty of disappointment and never-satisfied love. The cruel beauty of nature, and everlasting beauty of monotony -
-Maybe... maybe emotions become so intense your body just can't contain it. Your mind and your feelings become too powerful... and your body weeps.-
-When we honestly ask ourselves which person in our lives means the most to us, we often find that it is those who, instead of giving much advice, solutions, or cures, have chosen rather to share our pain and touch our wounds with a gentle and tender hand. The friend who can be silent with us in a moment of despair or confusion, who can stay with us in an hour of grief and bereavement, who can tolerate not knowing, not curing, not healing and face with us the reality of our powerlessness, that is a friend who cares-
-Don't be dismayed at good-byes. A farewell is necessary before you can meet again. And meeting again after a moment or lifetime is certain for those who are friends-
-In every human heart is a place where you put your broken dreams. When something doesn't work out, no matter what it may be, you just have to give it up and stuff it In with your other broken dreams. And make sure to keep the lid tight-
-Life's complexities are also life's source of beauty. We should all have to cry at one point to appreciate how it feels to laugh again, and crumble down and be broken so that you can be whole again-
-Words shrink things that seem timeless when they are in your head to no more than living size when they are brought out-
-For every beauty there is an eye somewhere to see it. For every truth there is an ear somewhere to hear it. For every love there is a heart somewhere to receive it.-
-We are all a little weird and life's a little weird, and when we find someone whose weirdness is compatible with ours, we join up with them and fall in mutual weirdness and call it love-
